KG MEMORIAL POSTPONED
Tim and the LRP Team were ready for the season ending Kevin Gobrecht
Memorial at Trail-way Speedway this weekend, but rain washed out the
event both Saturday and Sunday. The race will take place this Sunday,
October 5th.
Also, multiple races have been added to Tim's 2008 schedule. See the
Schedule Page for more info. See you at
the track.

I-30 ROAD TRIP
COMPLETE
Tim and the LRP Team completed their week long road trip on Saturday
night and arrived home late Sunday night. At the 600 Nationals at I-30
Speedway, the team had a good night and an not so good night.
On Friday night Tim lined up 2nd in his heat and rolled to a 2nd place
finish. In the qualifier race he started 6th and finished 4th. With the
bandit racing format the points collected were enough to place him in
the A-main. Dietz started in the 13th starting spot and drove to a 12th
place finish on a very heavy and non-passing track. The entire team was
very happy with their results considering the track conditions and the
number of cars.
On Saturday night Tim lined up 5th in his heat and rolled to a 3rd place
finish. In the qualifier race he started 6th and finished 5th. This time
the points collected were not enough to place him in the A-main and the
night and trip was over for the LRP Team.
Come out this Saturday the 27th of September and support the #9 LRP Team
at Trail-way Speedway for the season ending Kevin Gobrecht Memorial
Race. Gates open at 4:30 PM and Racing starts at 6:30 PM. See you at the
track.

6TH AT RIVERSIDE
Tim and the LRP Team
stopped by Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on
Saturday night while heading to the 600 Nationals at I-30 Speedway. The
$2000 to win race only brought 28 cars, so Tim and company were almost
guaranteed a feature spot. Tim lined up 7th in his heat and rolled to a
4th place finish. In the A-main Dietz started in the 8th starting spot
and drove to a 6th place finish. The entire team was happy with their
results considering they collected a higher pay-out than they would have
for a feature win back home.
From there the LRP racing team will head to the I-30 Speedway for the
600 Nationals the 18th through the 20th for a chance at the $10,000
prize.

LRP 2008 ROAD

Speedway, so an early preparation began for their summer ending road
trip to Arkansas. Tim and company will first stop at Riverside
International Speedway for a $2000 to win race on the 13th. From there
they'll head to the I-30 Speedway for the 600 Nationals the 18th through
the 20th for a chance at the $10,000 prize. Check back here daily as the
site will be updated when results are delivered per conversation with
the #9 team.

HIGH FIVES
LRP TRACK SIDE LIVE was on
the scene Saturday night at the beautiful Trail-way Speedway. Tim
started 7th in heat race number 2. After doing some high lane
experiments, Dietz went backwards off the start but made some
corrections and drove to a 6th place finish. With only 21 cars in the
books, all drivers advanced to the feature. Tim started 7th on the grid
in the A-main and once again tried some different grooves to see what
was available on the evening, but the bottom line was really the only
option to take. So down low Tim drove picking up some spots to cross the
finish line in 5th place for the 3rd top 5 in as many weeks.
After the race Tim said..."High 5's all around, lets stay here the rest
of the year. We didn't have the car we had the past two weeks, I just
couldn't put a threat on the top spot, but you'll have this from time to
time. We have next week off and then we hit the Grove in 2 Friday's from
now, so that should be pretty cool running where the big 410's run".
Come out Friday the 5th of September and support the #9 LRP Team at
Williamsgrove Speedway. Gates open at 5:30 PM and Racing starts at 7:30
PM. See you at the track.

THE SQUEEZE PLAY
LRP TRACK SIDE LIVE here
once again with Saturday night's review from Trail-way Speedway. Tim
lined up deep in the 6th spot of heat race number 2. Flying high and low
Dietz drove the #9 machine into the lead and never looked back as he
claimed the victory. With only 24 cars in the pits tonight, all drivers
advanced to the feature. Tim was awarded the 8th starting spot in the
A-main. In a caution filled first 9 laps, Dietz managed to pick off 6
spots on the restarts and was in 2nd with 11 laps to go. On the next
caution Tim made a move that would end up costing him a position as he
slid back into the 3rd spot with 8 laps remaining. Tim continued to
throw the LRP machine into the turns and was all over the 2nd place car,
but in turns number one and two Dietz went low to make the squeeze play
pass while making contact and nearly spinning out. The aggressive move
sent him back one more spot to 4th. With 4 laps remaining, Dietz simply
had used up all the rubber on his American Racer Tires and would coast
in to settle for a 4th place finish on the night.
After the race Tim said..."It was another great top 5 finish for us,
which is our goal, but I'm pretty upset that I was wasn't given much
room on my last attempt of passing back for the 2nd place spot. I had a
50/50 chance of making that pass happen, and this time it wasn't in our
favor. My goal now is to get more aggressive and work on getting our car
good in the middle of the race so we can pick up a well deserved
victory. We're way overdo"! Come out this Saturday the 23rd of August
and support the #9 LRP Team at Trail-way Speedway. Gates open at 4:30 PM
and Racing starts at 6:30 PM. See you at the track.

A SILVER METAL FOR
DIETZ
LRP TRACK SIDE LIVE here
with Saturday night's review from Trail-way Speedway. Tim spotted up in
the 5th spot of heat race number 2. Putting up a strong fight, Dietz
drove his #9 Hyper Micro to a 3rd place finish after 8 laps. The top 6
advanced so that placed Tim into the 5th starting spot in the A-main.
From the drop of the green, Tim drove his heart out trying to get to the
front. At the halfway point Dietz was up to 2nd place and was licking
his chops at the number 1 spot. Once the second spot was secured, the
remaining laps of the race went non-stop and the gap for Tim to close on
the leader was too much and a 2nd place SILVER METAL finish was awarded
to Dietz.
After the race Tim said..."I was in a really good position to win, but
we really needed a caution in the closing laps. The time that it took me
to get to 2nd allowed the leader to get out front too far for me to
catch in a 20 lap feature. All in all we're very happy with this weeks
results and its a big improvement to some of our past results. This year
we've been all over the map and thats racing, but to run good and finish
in the top 5 in the last quarter of the season is very important to us."

BACK TO BACK
PROBLEMS
The TRACK SIDE
report team was away for a week, but now we're back. Rain has been gone
for weeks now and we got the past 2 Saturday nights in at Trail-way
Speedway. Both weeks Tim won his heat race and was in the perfect
position and climbing towards his first victory of 2008 when problems
occurred. Two weeks ago the #9 machine developed a Clogged injector
while running 7th (finished 22nd) and then this week while running in
2nd with 6 laps to go the Black and White Hyper broke a chain. (finished
19th) The LRP team is frustrated, but are holding their heads high and
look to rebound this weekend.
Come out this Saturday the 2nd of August and support the #9 LRP Team at
Trail-way Speedway. Gates open at 4:30 PM and Racing starts at 6:30 PM.

ALL ABOUT
THE SET-UP
Dietz and
Company latest TRACK SIDE report is in. It was back to a regular good
old Saturday night at Trail-way Speedway. Tim lined up in the 6th
position in Heat Race #2 and drove 8 hard laps to a 2nd place finish.
That was good enough to bypass the B-Main and move directly into the the
Main Event. Dietz lined up in the 7th position in the A-main and faded
back due to the wrong set-up. The #9 Hyper was a far back as 12th, but
managed to fight his way back to a 9th place finish.
After the race Tim smiled and said..."My son helped out with the set-up,
and we were just way off tonight. He's still learning. We are going to
run some tests this week to see what the problem is, but I'm sure we'll
get it figured out. Either way, we can't complain with a top-10 finish.
We'll take it and get ready for next weekend.
Come out this Saturday the 19th of July and support the #9 LRP Team at
Trail-way Speedway. Gates open at 4:30 PM and Racing starts at 6:30 PM.

SPEEDWEEK COMPLETE
The highly anticipated 2008 PA 600 Speedweek was here and now is gone.
Tim and company went on the road to see what they could do in 7 races in
8 long days. In the end, the entire team was tired but had an almost
perfect week. Tim was one race away from making all A-mains, which is
very hard to do. As a matter of fact, only one other person did it out
of 162 drivers. Race #1 at Trail-way Speedway Tim raced his way into the
A-main and finished 11th. Race #2 at Lincoln Speedway, he took 12th.
Race #3 at Path Valley Speedway Dietz crossed 16th. Race #4 at Greenwood
Valley Action Track he finished a strong 9th. Race #5 at Susquehanna
Speedway 13th. Race #6 at Linda's Speedway was won by the Rain. Race #7
which was the Super 600 Showdown at Lanco Speedway would be the hardest
challenge of the week for the #9 team. With passing points as the
qualifying system, Tim ran a Heat Race, a qualifier race, and then found
himself in the C-main. After winning the C-main, he moved onto the
B-main where he needed to finish 9th or better. After starting in the
rear for 25 laps, he landed in the 13th spot which was a few spots short
of the qualifying positions. It was a sad end to a long week, but a 7th
place finish in points showed that the team was very consistent and ran
hard with all of the 600 cc Super Stars from around the globe.
Back to the real world we head this weekend. Come out this Saturday the
12th of July and support the #9 LRP Team at Trail-way Speedway. Gates
open at 4:30 PM and Racing starts at 6:30 PM. See you at the track.

Early
Race Tangles
Finally, a dry Saturday night at Trail-way Speedway. After 3 weeks of no
racing it was very clear that many drivers were rusty creating an
accident filled evening on the small 1/3 mile oval. Tim started out in
heat race #2 from the 7th spot and watched a accident collect a ton of
drivers as he worked his way up to 3rd at the finish line after 8 long
laps. From there the team advanced to the A-main and lined up in the 8th
starting position. At the drop of the green a pile-up was created on Lap
1 with in the front 7 cars and Tim had no where to go. On the restart
Tim started from the 24th spot and managed to work hi way up to 15th at
the end of 20 crazy laps.
After the race Tim said..."We were at the wrong place at the wrong time
tonight and now we have some torn-up parts. We've just really had some
back luck this year. I blame some of it due to all of our rain-outs,
which prevents us from getting in a good groove. Hopefully Speedweek
will go better since we'll be racing 7 times in 8 days. These races are
for the big bucks which is helpful to any race team.

Rains fall
once again
Another round of
passing storms washed out Saturday's racing at Trail-way Speedway for
the second week straight. Tim and company were in line at the track when
the rains hit. They then hit the road and headed to Shippensburg
Speedway. Once they arrived there rains followed them can took out the
nights events there too. With no more track options, the weekend was
over before it even started for the LRP team.

at Trail-way Speedway. Gates open at 4:00 PM and Racing starts at 6:30

Mother Nature wins
Passing
storms washed and powered out the last leg of Saturday's racing at
Trail-way Speedway. Tim actually got his warm-ups and heat racing in,
but not all heat races were complete so there will be no feature to
make-up. Tim started 9th in heat race #1 and finished 6th at the end of
8 laps. Minutes after that the Track lost power and the evening was
over.
Come out in this Saturday the 14th of June and support the #9 LRP Team
at Trail-way Speedway. Gates open at 4:00 PM and Racing starts at 6:30

Greenwood
Valley Testing
The latest edition of the Tim Dietz TRACK SIDE report is in. With
another rain filled Saturday morning and early afternoon, Trail-way
Speedway officials decided to cancel racing once again. With many other
tracks out and about running, the LRP Team flipped a coin and headed for
Greenwood Valley Speedway to do some testing for the upcoming
PA 600 Speedweek Series. Due to the
late canceling of Trail-way Speedway, the team got to Greenwood Valley
late and missed the pill draw which put Tim in the rear of Heat Race 1.
From the 10th position Tim drove as hard as possible and managed to
advance to the 8th spot at the cross flags. Only taking the top 6, Tim
was forced to run the B-Main. Dietz lined up in the 4th position and
headed to the front for the victory at the finish line. Onto the A-main
headed the Black and White Hyper #9. Lined up in the 19th spot, Tim used
all of the track and made multiple moves during green flag racing and
caution restarts to get to the 7th spot with 2 laps remaining out of 20.
Attempting to pass on the high side to advance to 6th Tim tried, but got
to high and nipped the wall while maintaining and holding on to 7th at
the conclusion.
After the race Tim said, "We made some major changes to the car the past
two weeks and it was a ton better. We are very excited about the up and
coming races. The month of June and July are filled with many races and
now is the time for us to have this car working good. We're looking
forward to returning here during the
2008 PA 600 Speedweek Series."

Wet and Bumpy!
Dietz and Company
TRACK SIDE report is in. It rounded out to be another interesting racing
weekend for Tim and the #9 Team. It was a raining forecasted evening,
but Trail-way Speedway managed to work around it for the most part.
Directly after warm-ups, Tim lined up in the 3rd position in the 4-26-08
Feature make-up. On a slopping wet track, the set-up was a hit or miss
since features aren't typically ran on this type of condition. The #9
hyper was on the miss side of things and Tim faded back to a 8th place
finish after 20 hard fought laps. Back into the pits the car went and
was prepared for the regular show. In Heat Race #1 Tim drove to a 4th
place finish from the 7th starting spot. That was good enough to bypass
the B-Main and move directly into the the Main Event. With rains in and
out, the track was pushing all racing as fast as possible. Dietz lined
up in the 7th position in the A-main and was up to 3rd and the bright
side was looking up for the LRP Team. At that time Tim was presented
with a kind bump form another driver and spun out and fell back to the
rear. On the move is what Tim did from there and got as far as the 13th
spot when the race was called on lap 12 of 20 due to multiple droplets
of water falling from the sky. At that time all programs were ended for
the evening, but the race was official and an odd out of the top ten was
presented to the #9.
Come out in 2 weeks on Saturday the 31st and support the #9 LRP Team.
Gates open at 4:00 PM and Racing starts at 6:30 PM. See you at the
track.

Ship-wrecked!
It was one wreck of a racing weekend for the #9 Team. It was sunny and
beautiful Saturday and all tracks were racing except Trail-way Speedway.
With rains Friday, the track decided to cancel. With not many options
Tim and company packed up camp and headed for Shippensburg Speedway. By
the nights end, the team was once again reminded why they don't like to
race there. Tim lined up in the 7th position in heat race number 1. On a
non-passing track and after hitting an inside tire on the track, Tim
managed a 6th place finish which was one short of the transfer spot.
Onto the B-Main the #9 headed. Starting on the pole, Dietz drove his way
to the win at the end of 8 laps. In the A-Main Tim started in the 21st
position and drove around in the Caution-Filled event. The race was
originally scheduled for 20 laps, but with the race time limit the
cautions ate up all the time and the race ended before they even
finished 5 laps. Tim managed a 20th finish while his car actually
stopped twice due to some electrical issues. The team packed up the car
and got out of there in a hurry after that awful experience, but will
regroup and get back to Trail-way Speedway this weekend.
Come out this Saturday night and support the #9 LRP Team. Gates open at
4:00 PM and Racing starts at 6:30 PM. There will be two 600cc features
so come and get your moneys worth. See you at the track.

Three Doors
Down
LRP TRACK SIDE LIVE here with Saturday night's review from Trail-way
Speedway. Tim spotted up in the 4th spot of heat race number 2. Putting
up a strong fight, Dietz drove his #9 Hyper Sprint to a 3rd place finish
after 8 laps. The top 6 advanced so that placed Tim into the 4th
starting spot in the A-main. With rain in the forecast again, the team
was hoping to get the feature in. With the storms brewing the 600 A-main
started and Tim drove his heart out trying to get to the front. By lap 8
Dietz was up to 2nd place and was licking his chops at the number 1
spot. On the restart, Tim got his car into a tight situation on the
attempt to pass and bumped into the leader sending himself back 2 spots
into 4th. Many cautions and 12 laps later Tim managed a 3rd place finish
on the evening.
After the race Tim said..."I was in a really good position to take the
lead on lap 8 and I totally drove into the leader by accident. It was my
fault and my apologies go out to that team. From there we just really
needed some green flag laps to get the car working good, but there were
too many cautions and we settled for a nice 3rd place finish. We are
scheduled to run 2 features next week. The first one is a make-up from
last week and I'm scheduled to start in 3rd so we're excited about that.
All in all we're very happy with this weeks results and are excited to
have some of our bugs worked out."

Starting 3rd
on the grid
Rain was in
the 2 forecasts for Saturday night at Trail-way Speedway. Tim Dietz was
forecasted to STORM to the front in the 600cc A-Main, but mother natures
STORM beat him to it. After a rough week at the track last week, the #9
was in tip top condition with plenty of non-clogged injectors. Warm-ups
went well and so did the heat race. Tim lined up in the 3rd spot of heat
race number 3. Using the turns to his advantage, Dietz drove the LRP
black and white Hyper to the runner-up spot at the cross-flags. Set to
start in the 3rd spot of the feature event, the guys had the car all
set-up and ready to go when the rains came and washed out the remaining
portions of the evening. Because all the qualifying events were
complete, the A-main will be made up on another night soon to be
announced.
Under the umbrella in the pits Tim said..."I sat around all week
reviewing what I wanted to do here tonight. We qualified well and then
the rains come and end a really exciting night for us. Sometimes I wish
we could have a dome or a big tent over this place so we could race
under any condition. I love this sport and I just simply want to race."

All
Clogged Up
What a beautiful Saturday it was for TRACK SIDE LIVE with the LRP Team
at Trail-way Speedway. Tim and company were ready to race after learning
some good set-up information the week before. The #9 sprinter has been
getting better week by week and has gone from 17th in points all the way
up to 5th. A victory lane speech is well over due for the team and they
are just counting down the days till it happens. Unfortunately the team
found out in a hurry that this week, was not their week. Tim took the
Black and White Hyper onto the track for warm-ups and around he went
only to realize the car had injector issues. Into the pits Dietz rolled
to find they had not only one, but two clogged fuel injectors. The team
went to swap out the clogged injectors with some back-ups, but only had
one in the trailer. After checking with some other teams, all spares
found were the wrong sizes so the #9 went back into the trailer and the
night was over before it even started.
In the pits Tim said..."This is a really tough one to swallow, but this
is how the cookie crumbles sometime in this sport. Your never prepared
enough for the unexpected in racing. We will head back to the shop this
week and change some things and throw a 12 pack of injectors in the
trailer from now on."

SATURDAY, APRIL 12, 2008
Finding the
Groove
TRACK SIDE again we go with the #9 and Company. Tim started Heat Race #1
in the 6th position due to this weeks point inversion and wasted no time
as he drove to the victory at the flag stand after 8 strong laps. With
Tim's victory, he would advance past the B-Main this week and qualified
for the 9th starting spot in the nights Main event or A-main if you
will. From the start of the race, Dietz realized that their set-up on
the night was off and it made driving conditions hard at times, but he
continued to progress through the field. Up to the 3rd spot Tim was on
Lap 19 of 20 as he dove to the inside of the 2nd place car in turn 2. At
that time, the 2nd place car literally shoved the #9 Hyper off the track
and into the infield on the backstretch. Tim managed to keep the car
under control after the dirty move and got back on track through turns 3
and 4 and crossed the checkered line in 4th place. Dietz after the race
said..."All in all it was a very decedent night for us and we've learned
a lot about our set-up. I can't wait to get back out here next Saturday
night so we can utilize what we learned this race and hopefully get
ourselves up there in Victory Lane. My team and all of our sponsors
really deserve it."

4:00 PM and Racing starts at 6:30 PM. See you at the track.

Night
Time is the Right Time
In this weeks edition of DIETZ TRACK SIDE, the #9 and Company started
night racing at Trail-way Speedway on Saturday evening and it proved
that the Night Time is the Right Time. Tim started the day by pulling a
much better pill that put him in a comfortable 3rd starting spot in Heat
Race #2. At the drop of the green, Tim weaved his car up into the lead
position and was set to stay there until a caution came out at the
halfway point in the race. On the restart the #9 had a injector hang
open and Dietz was forced to pull the LRP machine into the pits. Tim was
credited with an 8th place finish and would have to run the consi to
make the A-main. In the Consolation race, from the 2nd starting spot
Dietz drove the Black and White Hyper to the front and never looked back
as he picked up the win. This would advance the LRP #9 into the 22nd
starting spot of the A-main. In this position, Tim did what he does best
and dove high and low while passing cars left and right the entire way
up to the 7th spot. After only one caution 7th was as far as Tim would
advance as he crossed the finish line. The smiling driver after the race
said..."We had a really good car tonight, and from where we started in
the feature I felt like we had a 3rd place finish if there would have
been more than one caution, but I'm happy with getting a good race under
our belts. If we can clean up our qualifying misfortunes, we'll be in a
good position to run up front on a weekly basis. I'm very excited to get
back out here next Saturday night. The night time racing is where its
at!"
Come out this Saturday night and support the #9 LRP Team. Gates open at
4:00 PM and Racing starts at 6:30 PM. See you at the track.
SATURDAY, MARCH 29, 2008
A Numbers
Game
Trail-way Speedway opened the gates for race number 2 of the 2008 season
on Saturday afternoon. It was cold and windy day and the track was very
dry on this last day race. Tim started the day on a bad note by pulling
a terrible pill that landed him in dead last in the stacked Heat Race
#1. From the 10th spot, Dietz moved up to 7th and was looking to pass 2
more cars to qualify for the Feature event. After multiple attempts, the
#9 was shutout from advancing and crossed the checkers in the 7th spot.
Onto the B-Main/Consi Race #1 Tim headed. Starting in the 4th spot,
Dietz drove his car as hard as possible on the non-passing broken-up
track advancing as far as the 3rd spot and showed signs of gaining the
2nd spot. At the flag stand the #9 LRP sprinter fell one spot short of
qualifying for the A Main. Disappointment was in the air, as it was only
the 2nd time in Tim's 600cc career that he failed to qualify. But with
the competition these days, it commonly becomes a number factor during
non-passing condition day races. Tim smiled and stated after the B Main
that, "The LRP team is happy that we will be moving to night racing next
week and that I might start letting my 1 year old son Jaiman pull the
pill in hopes of a better qualifying position".
Come out this Saturday night and support the #9 LRP Team. Gates open at

COLD
It was another beautiful day at Trail-way Speedway on Saturday
afternoon, but the temps were colder than the track officials liked so
racing was canceled. Come out again this Saturday and support the #9 at
Trail-way Speedway. Gates open at 9:00 AM and Racing starts at 1:00 PM.

SATURDAY, MARCH 15, 2008
Back Trackin'
It was a beautiful Opening Day 2008 at Trail-way Speedway on Saturday
afternoon. The forecast called for rain and possible snow, but in the AM
that forecast changed and the day was sunny and warm with a little
breeze. It was a great day for racing.
Tim Started the on the pole in Heat Race #3. He drove the #9 hard and
held onto the 1st spot for the win at the cross flags. With this finish,
Tim advanced to the A-main and drew the 4th spot which was great for a
day race that was full of no passing track conditions. In the A-Main Tim
started strong and was all over the 3rd place car's bumper, but couldn't
take the position till a few laps into the race. Running 3rd, Tim was
knocking on the door of 2nd place, but his best chance was on the
caution restarts. On lap 17 of 20 the caution flag flew for a car
slowing down on the back stretch and at the same time Tim ran over the
inside berm on turn four and spun the #9 machine around. That sent Dietz
to the rear of the field and tacked him with a 19th place finish.
All in all it was a great start to the 2008 season, but the finish
didn't exactly reflect that. Tim after the race admitted that he flat
out made a first race of the season drivers error as he laughed. Come
out again this Saturday and support the #9 at Trail-way Speedway. Gates
open at 9:00 AM and Racing starts at 1:00 PM. See you at the track.

The 2008 #9 is
Here
The 2008 Race Car show season opener is officially now in the books. The
cameras were ready and went crazy when the team showed up at the 2008
York Dirt Trackin’ Show to show off their new 2008 #9 Black and White
Hyper Sprinter. Many pics
from the show have been posted in the Photos Section so check them out.
Starting in March, Dietz will pilot the #9 for the 3rd year for car
owner Dan Little and Little's Racing Products. Tim has been crowned the
Back to Back Champ in 2006 and 2007 at Hill Valley Speedway while racing
for LRP. Now Tim, Dan and the entire crew are excited about this 2008
season where they will move onto Tim's old stumping grounds of the
famous Trail-way Speedway in Hanover, PA. Tim currently is tied for 1st
at the track with 11 all time wins. This year, the team looks to
eliminate that tie and move into 1st with 12 all time wins or more.
Next up on the schedule, the LRP team will load the car and head to the
Harrisburg Farm Show Complex for the Motorama on February 16-18. Tim and
the rest of the #9 Team will again be showing off their new Hyper. So if
you missed the Dirt-Trackin' Show, then make sure you catch the #9 in
Harrisburg.
From there the team will start the final prep for their 2008 season
opener at Trail-ways on March 15th. Prep will start with some racing at
Shippensburg Speedway on Sunday March 2. The team plans to work out all
of the bugs there and then clean the car up and begin their season at
Trail-ways the following weekend.
Stayed tuned right here for more dates, photos and upcoming news on Tim
and the entire LRP Team.

Tim and the LRP Team are putting the finishing touches on the 2008 #9
Sprinter. Get your cameras ready and come on out and join the team at
the 2008 York Dirt Trackin’ Show. The 25th edition of the Dirt
Trackin' Show sponsored by Jack Giambalvo Motor Co. will be held once
again at the York Fairgrounds, in the Memorial Hall Expo Center January
25, 26 & 27, 2008. This year’s show will feature more than 200
racecars on display including Late Models, Street Stocks, Legends,
Micros, NASCAR and more. Many local drivers will be signing autographs
over all three days. Last year’s event had the most cars and vendors
ever, and this year should continue in the same upward spiral. There
will be no increase in the ticket prices, so adults can still join in
the fun for only $10, students (ages 7-12) are only $5, and children six
years of age and under are always free when accompanied by an adult.
Show times will be Friday from 4 p.m. - 11 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. - 10

The 2007 Review
and the 2008 Preview from Tim
To All:
Sorry for the lateness of putting together my year in review. A lot has happened over the past 12 months. The biggest thing probably isn't even really racing related, but for any parent the birth of their son or daughter has to be the highlight of not only that year but, there entire life. On January 13, 2007 my wife, Candace, gave birth to our son
Jaiman. Since then for me, gone are the days of hanging out until the wee hours of the morning and working on racecars till late in the night. Now changing diapers and feeding Jaiman are the norm. (Nothing wrong with that!!!)
Anyhow, our entire season went very well this year. It didn't start out the greatest in North Carolina is we wrecked on the front stretch on the opening lap. From there things got better and we ended up having one of the best years that I've had in a long time. The only thing missing from the year is a couple of checkmarks in the win column. Although there were a few nights were we had a chance at the win, we were never able to seal the deal. We did end up though winning the point championship at Hill Valley speedway. We also had a fantastic 600 Speedweek by coming home a close 2nd to
A.J. Bast and of course coming in 2nd in the Super 600 Showdown.
The 600 Speedweek (www.pa600speedweek.com)
was put on with much hard work from my car owner Dan Little and one of our teams great friends Trip
Kone. They were the master minds behind the week. We not only had a great speedweek but, made many friends from different areas of the country and even some from our own backyard. The most eventful night for us during speedweek had to be the Super 600 Showdown. I've never raced at Lanco and before that day had only heard about it. As the practice sessions were over I was not at all comfortable in the car. By the time the heat race rolled out on the track I was gaining the all important comfort level. Coming from 9th in the feature to finish 2nd was probably one of the greatest accomplishments of my career. The only thing that I believe ranks up there with that was my win at the Kevin Gobrecht Memorial in 2004. I look back and think the only place we made a mistake was by not putting a new tire on for the dash. It cost us a few starting spots in the main that may have allowed us to win it.
We also made the trek to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas in September. Although we had motor/electrical trouble throughout the weekend, we did manage to win a heat race and run very well. The Friday night show I believe we would have qualified for until I made a mistake and spun out. Saturday we had mechanical gremlins and were not able to do much.
As for this year, things are looking good. We have a new 2008 Hyper in the garage being put together, the new motor is being worked on, and being our third season together I feel that we will be a very strong contender at any track we pull into. This year we had much discussion over where we planned to race weekly. Friday night are very hard for Dan or myself to be able to make it to due to work obligations. I'm very excited to say that we will be at Trailway Speedway on Saturday nights this year. Coming back to a place that I raced at for so many years excites me and my family. Please come out and see us at the York Dirt
Trackin' show and several others this winter.
See you at the track!
Please check out the sponsor page as I would like to do a sponsor profile once every other week or so in the near future. If you are interested in sponsoring our team please feel free to contact myself or Dan Little.
Thanks!

2007 Season
comes to a close
Tim and the LRP Team have wrapped up the 2007 Racing Season. The end
result was another successful season in the books. Tim joined LRP in
2006 and has won the championship title at Hill Valley Speedway with the
team ever since then. With Tim's title at Trail-ways in 2004, this makes
it 3 crowns in 4 years. How long will the streak go and where will the
#9 land next? Will the team try for their 3rd title in 3 years at
the Hill or will they venture on and try to master another track? These
are the questions that will pass through our minds until the 2008 plan
is released. Check back soon for Tim's personal 2007 Year in review and
for the 2008 Press Release. Thanks again to all of the sponsors and fans
of Tim and the LRP Team this season. We hope to have you along for the
ride next year.

Remaining in
the bleacher
seat
Tim might possibly be watching the remaining races of the year from a bleacher
seat instead of a drivers seat. With old equipment out to make
room for new, Tim is left rideless. He's been looking for a few weeks
now and had some offers, but one thing led to another and they didn't
work out as planned. If a team was to call and ask Dietz to drive,
he probably would. At this point though Dietz and company will take
advantage of their time off and go support some other race teams.
Anyone out there interested?? Tim is still seeking a ride for the
Linda's Nationals. Multiple feature winner and point champion at Trail-ways
and the past two years at Hill Valley Speedway. Looking for a ride in
270, 600 or 1000. Please contact Tim Dietz (717)451-2943 or at

King Dietz still looking for a ride for the remainder of
2007
Tim just wrapped up the 2007 season at Hill Valley with another
Championship Title. The LRP #9 has been sold to make room for new
equipment. The problem is, now Dietz will be attending the remainder of
his schedule as a spectator. As a passionate racer as Tim is that
feeling is not a pleasant one. So with that said...
Currently Tim is seeking a ride for the Trail-way's Nationals and or
Linda's Nationals. Former winner at Trail-ways and point champion there
and the past two years at Hill Valley Speedway. Looking for a ride in
270, 600 or 1000. Please contact Tim Dietz (717)451-2943 or at

Dietz
looking for a ride for the remainder of the 2007 season
The 2007 Season at Hill Valley has ended and so has the #9 for the
season. With the LRP Racing Team owning a new downtube Hyper chasis,
there were a lot of offers from smaller teams to purchase the car.
The team typically does this every other year, but with the high
demand of used downtubes the team left it go for a nice price before
it depreciates. The question is now, what does Tim do about the
remaining big races on his schedule? When your filled with the
passion to race like Dietz is, sitting out even after you just won
another track championship is hard to do.
So
with that said...Tim is currently seeking a ride for the Trailway's
Nationals and/or Linda's Nationals. Former winner at Trailway and
point champion there and the past two years at Hill Valley. Looking
for a ride in 270, 600 or 1000. Please contact Tim Dietz

Game over
for #9 at I-30
11:34 PM
The final call of the weekend just rang in from Tim and it was a
little early to be the last call. Dietz started on the Pole in Heat
Race #8 and fell back to second when the fuel problems kicked back
in from Friday night. With the problem getting severe, Tim pulled in
and took a DNF. The LRP Team scampered around again trying to find
the problem. Changing this and changing that, the team got the car
running good again so onto the Qualifier race Tim headed starting
from the 11th position. At the drop of the green Tim Blue Streaked
his way through the field picking off one at a time. By the time
that the checkered flag came out, Tim was in the 5th spot...one spot
short of the A-Main. The team is currently cleaning up and packing.
Home bound they are within the hour. Tim after the raced smiled and
said.... "well, better luck next year I guess". And what
else can you say? Thats Racing Boys and Girls...thats racing.
Thanks
for all that checked in here all weekend long for the updates. Hope
you've enjoyed it.

Heat Racing at
I -30 in Night 2
8:50 PM
A call just in from Tim and the practice sessions are over and heat
races have begun. Dietz will start on the pole once again in heat race
#8. Once again, with the bandit format, passing points is what advances
you to the A-Main and its hard to do that from the pole. So we'll see
what happens. Check back here soon to see what takes place. Check

I-30 Night 1
complete
1:00 AM
Finally, the last call from Tim and crew just rang in at 12 AM
their time and 1 AM our time. After Tim won his heat he was now in a
qualifier race. Starting in the 7th position, Tim drove his #9 Blue
Streak on the high line and passed two cars up to 5th early in the race.
On the next lap, Dietz got a bit too high and jumped the cushion and
went for a spin. With the caution flags out, Tim got a ticket to the
rear of the field. Restarting in the 14th spot, Tim once again took the
high line on the 1/4 mile high-banked oval dirt track. With only limited
time, Dietz could only reach the 11th position at the checkered. Now,
with the bandit style format which tallies up passing points to
determine where cars will start for the A-Mains. Since Tim started and
finished 1st in his earlier heat race, the points he accumulated were
not enough to even start the A-Main. The team was a bit
discouraged, but then remembered that this was exactly what happened
last year and Tim ended up making the Big Race through qualifying the
following night. Check back in tomorrow to see what events take place
next. Check out the official site of this event at

I-30 Night 1
heats in progress
10:00 PM
Another call from Dietz and company just came in 9 PM their time and 10
PM our time. The LRP Team reported that the program is up to the 6th
heat race out of 10. Tim lined up his #9 micro on the pole in heat
race #2. The track was already slicking up, but Dietz pulled in the
victory. It was a great start for the weekend, but this was only the
start. Next up, is the Qualifier race. I-30 is running the Bandit style
format which tallies up passing points to determine where cars will
start for the A, B, C, Etc. Mains. The points accumulated in the heat
will invert the cars for the qualifiers so at this point, where Tim will
start is unknown. Check back in another 2 hours to see what the LRP Team
reports next. Check out the official site of this event at

sessions are complete at I-30 Speedway
4:35 PM
Tim called in and reported that he had completed the afternoon practice
sessions at I-30 Speedway. Session #1 went well and the car was running
strong. In session #2 some fuel problems were developed within the #9
LRP Hyper.
Dietz and the LRP Team are currently working hard to resolve the
problem. A clogged injector is believed to be the case. Heat races will
start a bit later than originally scheduled. Tim will hit the track at 6
PM Arkansas time / 7 PM Pennsylvania time. Another report will be made
from Tim as soon as that portion is complete and the results will be
posted here right away. Check back then, meanwhile you can

Heavy
Rains Cancel Day 1 at I-30 Speedway
Dietz and the LRP Team loaded up the car and hit the road. Destination =
Little Rock, Arkansas for the 600 Nationals at I-30 Speedway. Day 1 of
three was canceled as heavy rains hit the track just 10 minutes prior to
the start of the nights events. Tim will return on Friday at 10 AM and
prepare for 12 PM practice sessions with heat races scheduled to start
at around 3 or 4 PM. There were 80 cars lined up for Thursday, but
Friday Track Officials are expecting 100-120 total cars. Complete
results can be found here as soon as Tim calls home. Meanwhile you can

Champion once
again!
Tim Dietz and the LRP Team made their final trip to Hill Valley Speedway
on Saturday night to wrap up their quest for Back to Back titles. With
Tim and his #9 Hyper in a close points lead, the team needed to run
strong and safe at the same time. In the end, Dietz did exactly that.
From the pill draw, Tim was heading to the 1st heat and starting from
the 6th spot. Lined up with a bunch of heavy hitters, Dietz managed to
pick off one position and finish in the 5th spot.
In the A-main the Blue and White Hyper lined up in the 5th row, 9th
position. Driving the #9 micro hard all race long, Tim drove himself to
a 4th place finish and another Championship Crown at Hill Valley
Speedway for the 2nd year straight.
Now that Hill Valley's Season is over the team will go on tour for the
remainder of 2007. This weekend the team is taking a road trip to I-30
Speedway in Arkansas for the 600 Nationals September 13th, 14th and
15th. Check back on those days to see how the #9 Blue Streak makes out.
Thanks again to all of our sponsors and supporters for 2007!

Still
standing on Third
Tim Dietz and crew continued their odd streak of 3rd place finishes at
Hill Valley Speedway on Saturday night. For the 4th week in a row, Tim
put himself in the 3rd position at the finish line during the A-Main.
Here we go. Tim started off in the 3rd spot in heat race number 1 on the
evening. Looking high and low from the start, Dietz showed passing
potential, but stayed in the 3rd spot at the checkered.
In the A-main the Blue Streak lined up in the 3rd row 5th position.
Driving his #9 micro on the low side most of the race, Tim managed to
pick off 2 spots, advancing him to 3rd at the finish line.
This upcoming weekend will be the last race at Hill Valley for the
season. The LRP Team hope to hold onto the points lead and hope to take
the 2007 Hill Valley Crown. From there, the team will hit the road and
visit many tracks around the area. Check out the schedule to find out
exactly where the team will land near you.
See you at the track!
SATURDAY, AUGUST 25, 2007
Driving on 3rd
Street
Tim Dietz and company continued their streak at Hill Valley Speedway on
Saturday night. For the third week in a row, Tim crossed the #9 Hyper
over the finish line in 3rd place in the A-Main. This takes the Top 5
streak to 8 in a row and 9 out of the last 10 races. Tim would very much
like to bring home a victory, but you just can't complain with Top
5 finishes week in and week out.
Here is the scoop. Dietz started things off in the 6th spot in the 1st
heat race. On the first lap, Tim made a daring move in turn #3 where he
threw his car in the middle of 2 other cars to make it 3 wide. Hoping
the inside and outside cars would hold their lines, Tim somehow pulled
away and picked them off to move up into the 2nd position. The fight
continued and Tim merely took the lead, but finished 2 ft short of the
win at the finish line.
Onto the A-main Tim headed, scheduled to start from the 3rd position.
In a fast non-stop 20 lap feature, Tim had many looks at 2nd place, but
simply ran out of time as his car starting to come alive in the last 5
laps. If the race would have had 5 more laps and perhaps a caution, a
victory might have been chalked for the LRP team. Either way, 3rd keeps
their point lead in a very comfortable spot with 2 point races
remaining.
Come out to the Hill this week and support the team. See you at the
track!
SATURDAY, AUGUST 11,
2007
Another ride in
the Valley
Dietz and company returned to Hill Valley Speedway on Saturday night
after a week off there due to dry conditions. With rain this past week,
the track was in much better shape and was race ready.
Tim started the 3rd heat race in the 3rd starting spot. By the end of
the 8 laps, Tim managed to get the #9 into the 2nd position at the
finish line. Onto the A-Main Dietz headed slated for the 3rd row 6th
starting spot. Driving the #9 Blue Streak high and low all race long,
Tim was able to pick-off 3 spots to finish 3rd for the evening.
Dietz has 7 top 5 finishes out of the last 8 races. Consistency like
this is what wins championships and this is exactly what the team did
last year to bring home the Hill Valley Crown. There are 4 more points
races left at the Hill and if the #9 continues pulling in the top 5
finishes, Back to Back Champions is what the LRP Team will be.
See you at the track!
SATURDAY, AUGUST 4,
2007
One Ship Short
Tim and the LRP Racing Team were scheduled to head to the Hills Saturday
night to maintain their points lead, but the track was forced to cancel
due to the dry conditions and lack of water to put moisture down on the
track. So off to a nearby track called Shippensburg Speedway the team
went.
Tim lined up 2nd in the first heat race and sailed to 1st and deck swept
the field. With the victory, the #9 advanced to the A-Main and started
on the pole. At the drop of the green Tim battled hard while falling
back to 2nd. All race long Dietz was side by side with the race leader,
but with a narrow complicated track the #9 Blue Streak wasn't able to
complete the pass. "Half way through the race the car was really coming
to life and lap traffic was becoming a factor. The door was open, but
the yellow flag was dropped to spoil the thought of victory"...Tim said
in the post-race interview.
Top five finishes have been plentiful for the LRP team this year, but a
win sure would be nice the team later admitted. There are numerous races
left and there is a ton of confidence around the #9 trailer that the
checkered flag will be in-hand soon.
See you at the track!
MONDAY, JULY 30, 2007
Back to the Hill
Tim and the LRP Racing Team headed back to the Hills Saturday night to continue their points chase towards another championship title. Dietz lined up in the 5th starting spot in the 2nd heat (only 16 cars) and finished 4th. The team admitted after the heat race that they misread the track and it slicked off a ton. Either way, the #9 advanced to the A-Main. Starting in 8th, Tim fought his way to another 5th place finish. Dietz after the race said "We were too hard on the right rear tire and it never started coming in until around halfway through the race." The A-Main went none stop and the car simply needed more laps.
In the end, the crew realized that this is the challenge of racing and they will re-group and will be ready for this weekend at Hill Valley Speedway.
See you at the track.

Home Sweet
Home.
Dietz and Company took last weekend off to recoup from the 5 race packed
2007 Speedweek. With Hill Valley being off for 2 weeks, the LRP Team
unloaded the #9 Blue and White Hyper at Tim's old stumping grounds known
as Trail-Way Speedway. It was the Eichelberger's U-Pull-It Summer
Championship at the track and the team came out hoping for win #12 at
the track. Tim started heat race #2 in the 2nd starting spot. In with a
group of tough drivers, Tim held his own to finish 2nd. From there the
#9 advanced to the A-Main and was slated for the 10th starting spot. On
the dry conditions, with limited passing, Tim fought his way up to the
5th spot at the finish line. The team was happy with their results and
glad they were able to take the car home in one piece. The LRP Team will
return to Hill Valley Speedway to continue their points chase towards
another Championship title.
See you at the track.
MONDAY, JULY 9, 2007
Speedweek 2007 is
complete.
Tim, the #9 and the LRP Racing team have completed 5 of the 5 races in 7 nights. Hill Valley, Path Valley, Susquehanna, Linda's and Lanco are in the books. The first 4 races showed an average of 65 cars and the final race for $10,000 was 112 cars total. With counts that high, racing has been extremely tough for Dietz in the #9, but the end results show that he took the bull by the horns. Tim pulled in a 6th, 3rd, 18th, 4th and 2nd through out the long week. In the biggest race of the season, Tim was 5 feet short of winning $10,000 at the 600 Showndown at Lanco on Saturday night. Dietz also missed the speedweek title by a mere 14 points. The LRP Team had some bad starting postions on Tuesday night at Susquehanna which resulted in a odd 18th place finish which made the difference between first and second in the points. Finishing 2nd in the points and 2nd in the Showndown was a huge accomplishment for Tim and rest of the team and smiles and high fives were all around.
The team now has some new outlooks and some newly built confidence for the rest of the season. The team is looking to stay 1st in points at Hill Valley and wrap up another championship. Tim is also looking for victory #1 of 2007 and also plans on hitting the road and going to some big races in a few other states with hopes of good results.
For those of your who haven't stop by Tim's site in a while, it has been given some upgrades. It was given a design make-over, new sponsors have been added along with other features such as a guestbook. Leave Tim a line. 2007 Speedweek photos are now in the Photos section.

Tim, the #9 and the
LRP Racing team had another interesting night at Hill Valley on Saturday
night. The track decided to use the Sprint Bandit format which utilizes
2 heat races with finish and passing points to decide the feature
line-up. Tim started 8th in the 1st of the heat races and won it. With
this point total the team was forced to start last in the second heat
race. Dietz fought hard and raced the #9 up to the 4th spot. From there,
the LRP Racing Team point total was the highest and the pole position
had Tim's name on it. From the drop of the green the trouble began. The
car didn't feel right to Tim the entire race and with about 9 laps in,
running 3rd Tim pulled into the pits. The #9 crew couldn't find anything
wrong with the car so back out onto the track headed Tim. At that point,
he started last and weaved high and low to the 8th spot at the checkered
flag.
On Sunday, Car Owner Dan Little went over the car and found that both
right side torsion bars were becoming weak. So new ones were installed
and the team will be ready for 6 races in 8 nights starting on Saturday.

Team #9 changes motors before the A-Main and still finishes 3rd at the
Hill
Tim Dietz and the LRP Racing team had an eventful night at the Hill on
Saturday night. Tim started 2nd in Heat Race #2 and drove his way to
the lead position to pick up the win. When the car pulled into the pits
the motor started having some issues and the team found that a head
gasket had gone up in smoke. Being in this position before the LRP team
scrambled and managed to pop in another engine just in time for the
A-Main. Tim pulled the #9 into the 2nd spot for the starting line-up.
From the drop of the green to the drop of the checkered, Tim faught
long and hard with the freshly place bone-stock engine and almost had
the lead at times, but ended up in the 3rd spot in a traffic filled
finish.
Tim and the team were very happy with their results at the end of the
night , especially after all of the engine drama that took place. The
team has 2 more races at the Hill to prepare for the high paying
Speedweek series that will start on Sunday the 1st of July. Check out
the schedule to see all of the tracks involved in this new series.
New Dietz pictures have been posted so if you haven't seen them yet.

Dietz Hard Charges from 21st to 5th at the Hill
Tim Dietz picked up the Hard Charger Award at the
Eichelberger-U-Pull-It Series Round #2 at Hill Valley Speedway on
Saturday night. The LRP #9 started in the 4th spot in its heat and was
up to 2nd when a clogged injector brought them into the pits and
picking up a DNF. In the pits, the problem was resolved and onto the
B-main (consi) the Blue and White Hyper went. From the 5th spot, Tim
flew his way past 4 cars, took a rock in the radiator and then brought
home the victory, advancing him into the A-Main. In the pits the LRP
team had to replace the radiator since it was cracked from the massive
rock. Since the bad injector and the DNF in the heat race, Dietz was
forced to a 21st starting position in the nights main event. Like
usual, Tim told himself to avoid the accidents and look for holes in
the traffic and DO IT UP! That's exactly what Tim did on the fast racing
surface. He passed 16 cars which landed him in 5th at the checkered
flag.
The team will be off this week, but will return to the Hill on the
16th. So go catch the USAC sprints at Hagerstown this weekend or visit
another local track and watch some good old 410 racing.

Tim gets another Top 5 and continues to climb the charts at the Hill
Tim, the #9 and the LRP Team were at Hill Valley Speedway once again on
Saturday evening with one thought in mind....Keep on finishing in the
Top 5 and the Championship Trophy will be engraved with the name DIETZ
again for the second year straight. With this in mind, Tim did exactly
that. Dietz started 5th in the second heat race of the night and held
his own to finish in the 5th spot. In the A-Main, Tim started way back
in the 14th position. Not exactly the area the #9 would like to be, but
there is only one thing to do in that area of the field...go forward.
Tim weaved his way up 9 spots to 5th at the cross-flags. The team was
happy at the end of the night with their 4th Top 5 in the past 6
attempts. This week the team will prepare the car for the 2nd Round of
the Eichelberger's U-Pull-It Series at Hill Valley. Come out and
support the team this Saturday night.

Tim on the move, finishes 3rd at the Hill
Tim and the LRP Team started on their way to Hill Valley Speedway on
Saturday evening, when they ran into truck issues while pulling the
Hauler. A frustrating situation was resolved when they were rescued by
crew member Brandon Little and his Calaman's Lawn Service Truck.
Thanks to Calaman's the #9 Blue Streak made it to the track. Once
there, the teams luck got better as they started the night off by
pulling pill 11. From there Tim started 3rd in the first heat race of
the night. With a strong group of cars riding along in this heat,
Dietz managed to stay put and finished 3rd. Next up, the A-Main. Tim
started in the feature in the 9th starting spot in his 2007 Hyper.
Fighting high and low all night long, Tim worked his way to a 3rd place
finish. "We were fast and the car felt the best it has all year", Tim
said after the night was over. 36 total cars showed up for the
beautiful Saturday night show, so the team was very pleased with their
end results. This week the team with shine up the car and give Hill
Valley another taste of the #9 LPR Racing Machine this weekend. See you
at the track.

Rain all
around!!
Tim and the LRP Team
rolled into Hill Valley Speedway on Saturday evening, found rain and left.
On the road they went to the next closest track, a hopeful Shippensburg Speedway.
Half way there the team was informed on the phone that the rain made it there also
and racing was canceled. At this point Trail-ways was the only track remaining, but
there wasn't enough time to make it there to race so the team headed home.
The rains have been hard on the 2007 season up to this point, but a hot summer is on
the way and rain may be only a spring fling.

Tim makes the best of a bad start at the Hill
Tim and the gang rolled into Hill Valley Speedway for the First Round of
the Eichelberger's U-Pull-It Series. This multi-round series is new for
2007 and offers drivers a higher pay-out. With the Big Bucks comes the
Big Cars, so this was a Big Event for the LRP Team. First the team
needed to pull a good number, but that was where their luck didn't work.
Pulling a high number put Tim and his #9 Hyper in the 7th starting spot
out of 8 total positions in his heat race. Dietz did the best he could
to get to the front, but 5th was the highest he got at the cross flags
which was barely good enough to qualify. "The car was good, but we just
didn't have a good start and we didn't advance like we should have" said
Tim after the race. From there the Blue Streak was placed in the 19th
starting spot in the A-Main. With just "Avoid The Accidents" as an
inspiration, Tim carefully passed some cars here and passed some cars
there to finish a respectable 6th place. Not bad all in all on a hard
positioned night for the LRP Team. To cap it off, Tim was presented with
the Hard Charger award for doing so. The team will clean-up and prep for
another Saturday night at the Hill coming to the speedway this Saturday
night at 6:00 p.m.

The Rains
Came to the Hill, so the #9 Stormed at Shippensburg
Tim and #9 crew arrived at Hill Valley Saturday afternoon at 4:00 PM to
prep for another great night of racing. Before the car was even pulled
out of the trailer the rains came and continued to fall till 7:00 PM.
At that point the track officials waited long enough and canceled since
the track would take all night to run in for a ideal racing surface. At
that moment, the LRP team made a phone call to Shippensburg Speedway to
see if they were clear of the rainy weather. They just so happen to be
running the heats as they were on the phone, so the #9 trailer bolted
to down the road to Shippensburg. The moment they got there they had
just missed the last heat race by 10 minutes, but there were only 22
cars running so the team was automatically place into the A-Main at the
23rd position. So out came the #9 Blue and White Hyper and onto the
track it was placed in the rear with only one place to go.......FORWARD.
Tim Man-Handled the Blue Streak past 18 cars as he Stormed to a 5th
place finish. "The car was crazy fast", said Tim after the race. What a
night it was for the team, but they were sure glad they made it to Ship
in time. This week they will be back at Hill Valley for the Eichelberger's U-Pull-It Series.
Come out and support the team. See you at the track.

Racing
Weather Returns
and so does Tim to Hill Valley
Tim blew
the dust off of his #9 on Saturday night at the 1st 600cc race of the
season at Hill Valley Speedway. After weeks of bad weather, mother
nature finally blessed us with warm temps and sun filled skies for as
far as you could see. The LRP Team came out ready to race, but later
found out they have some dust of their own to take care of. Tim started
2nd in his heat race and stayed right there the entire way to a 2nd
place finish. From there Tim was able to advance directly into the
A-Main where he'd line up in a promising 5th spot on the grid. The car
looked strong the entire way, but the end result was that the team
missed there set-ups on this night and the #9 fell back to 7th at the
cross flags. A top 10 is never bad, but going backwards is never ideal.
The Team will re-group and prepare for next week where they will try
once again the master the challenges that Hill Valley can throw at them.

Rain Washes
Out Racing at the Hill
Tim's new
#9 Hyper is becoming very dusty. For the second week in a row, bad
weather has caused Hill Valley Speedway to cancel its racing events. The
Team was ready to head for Trail-ways where the call was made to race,
but with the radar showing rain in that area the team decided to stay
home. Later Trail-ways canceled their racing events after they got only
the heat races in. Will the 2007 ever get going? That is a great
question and many racing teams hope these April Showers are going to
bring lots of May Racing. The weather outlook shows that Sunny Days are
sure to come and next weekend the 21st looks like it might be our first
in a while. Good signs so far on the radar so we'll make another attempt
at getting this 2007 Season underway next Saturday night at the Hill.

Cold
Weather Cancels Racing
The #9 Blue
and White Hyper was ready to turn some laps around Hill Valley Speedway
this weekend, but the recent cold weather has forced all area Track
Officials to CANCEL all racing events. Next weekend the 14th we'll make
another attempt at getting this 2007 Season underway.

A Dust Bowl at Trail-ways
Tim Dietz woke up on Saturday morning, drank a cup of Joe and jumped
into his Nissan Frontier. After a mild 10 minutes on the road, Tim
pulled into his old home Track of Trail-way Speedway where he's made
countless laps in the past. The LRP Team and Trailer were there in the
Pits waiting for him with his 2007 White and Blue Hyper #9. The sun was
Bright and the temps were in the lower 60's. It was a great day for
racing. Tim Started the 1st Heat Race in the 4th spot. He drove the #9
hard on the slick and dusty track while picking up two spots to cross
in 2nd place at the cross flags. With this finish, Tim advanced to the
A-main. Tim drew the 4th spot for the Feature which was great for a day
race that was full of no passing track conditions. In the A-Main Tim
started strong and was all over the 3rd place car's bumper, but
couldn't take the position. Three minor cautions in the race gave Tim a
few more chances, but the car was set-up for the long runs. After the
3rd and final caution Tim was given enough laps for his car and tires
to really heat up. Tim dove low and passed for the 3rd place spot, but
the position was taken right back off turn number 2. Tim ended the day
in 4th right were he started. It was a great start to the 2007 season
in PA. Tim and the number #9 team will head to the Hills this weekend
when they will take on Hill Valley Speedway for the Eichelberger's
U-Pull-It Series Round 1. Big Pay-outs are lined up for this race and
Tim and the crew are very excited to get up to speed at the Hill. Come
out this Saturday night and support the team. Racing starts at 6:00 PM.

Trail-ways it is.
Tim and the #9 Team were unsure of their weekend plans. Linda's practice or run Week #2 at Trail-ways. So last night the team sat down and made a concrete decision to run at Trail-way Speedway this Saturday afternoon. Race time is 1:00 PM so come out and support the #9 Sprinter.

BUG Day
complete!
Tim and the #9 crew had a busy weekend lined up full of decisions. The
Schedule was Trail-ways Opening Day on Saturday and then BUG Day at Hill
Valley also on Saturday. (BUG Day is a practice day where teams work out
the bugs before the season starts)
The decision making started when the skys decided to unleash rain all
day on Saturday which pushed both events to Sunday afternoon. First
intentions were to go get some live action at Trail-ways where Tim is
tied for first with 11 Career wins. On the other hand the team wants to
concentrate on defending their 2006 Title at Hill Valley Speedway. So
with a flip of the coin, Hill Valley it was.
Tim ran multiple test sessions at the Hill while trying different
set-ups in the new 2007 Hyper. Some good things were figured out and
some bad things were found. The track was filled with rocks and the
freshly painted #9 took some pretty heavy sand blasting of stones. Also,
the drivers seat was bent from a boulder sized rock on the track. Where
that thing came from is still unknown. Either way, this is dirt track
racing and these are the elements the drivers and cars endure on a
weekly bases. So the LRP Team will clean the car up and prep it for this
week.
The Schedule for this weekend is Practice at Linda’s and Week #2 at
Trail-ways. The Team will make a decision at the end of the week on
which they will attend. Check back soon for more details. See you at the
track!

#9 & County Line Raceway
Tim and the #9
crew were on the road this weekend at the County Line Raceway in Elm
City, NC. On Friday the car was fast, but had a hung injector in the
heat and failed to qualify from the 4th starting spot. The team fixed the problem and Tim qualified
through the consi by crossing 3rd after starting 10th to make the A-Main. In the A- Main Dietz started at
the rear of the field in the 21st spot and powered his way to a 9th
place finish. Not to bad for the first time ever on the wide
"D" shaped track and not bad for the first time out in
2007.
On
Saturday Tim started in the 4th spot in his heat and finished 4th to
make the A-Main. In the A-Main he started 16th, but got into a scuffle
on lap number one and had some front end damage that took him out of the
race. He was credited with 24th place.
The
team plans to hit the clay this Saturday at Trail-ways Season Opener as
long as weather permits. See you at the track!
THURSDAY,

time in 2007 on the 3/8 mile clay oval located at 6953 Stagecoach Road
in Elm City, N.C.
