SPEEDWEEK STOP #4
Tim and Dietz Racing Crew skipped stopped in Jonestown, PA for Race #5 of the 2009 PA 600 Speedweek Series at Linda's Speedway. Tim lined up in the 2nd spot in heat race #5 and took the high lane straight to the lead and never looked back. Tim blew away the field and looked to be the car to beat on the cool summer night. Tied for 1st in points heading into the 2nd round of heats, the team knew that the 18d just needed to make a few passes to start on the front row of the A-Main. In heat race #12 Tim started in the 7th spot and got into trouble right away as a pile-up formed directly in front of him. Dietz had no where to go and the car got beat up enough to go straight to the pits. In the pits, the Dietz Racing team thrashed and rebounded the car to make it out for the start of the C-Main. In the C, Tim started in the 4th spot and needed to finish in the top 6 to advance to the B-Main. Tim once again took the high route and quickly grabbed the lead and ran 15 laps to the victory. Onto the B-main we went. In the B, Tim started in the 20th position and was looking to find a way to the 6th or better spot. Tim tried his popular Top Shelf move again and that groove seemed to have gone away. Five laps later, Dietz got a little to high and got caught and made contact with the wall which ened the night for the team. It was a rough ending to what was looking to be great night for the Dietz Racing Team.
The team will bust their tails tomorrow in the parking lot of the Quality Inn and then they'll head to the Speedweek Race #6 at Lanco Speedway in Newmanstown, PA. Gates open at 2:00 PM and racing starts at 6:00 PM. See you at the track.

SPEEDWEEK STOP #3
Tim and Dietz Racing Crew skipped Race #3 of the 2009 PA 600 Speedweek Series at Path Valley Speedway, but decided to visit Race #4 at Susquehanna Speedway. Tim lined up in the 6th spot in heat race #3 and took the high lane to a strong 3rd place at the checkers. Onto the next round of heats. In heat #6 Tim started in the 5th spot and ran the top shelf once again to another 3rd place finish. Between the two heats, Tim once again collected enough points to transfer into the A-main where he'd start in the 16th position. At the drop of the green, Tim ran the high line and seemed a bit slow at first. After a few laps into the race it was almost like a switch was flicked and like that the car was alive. Tim quickly worked his way into the top ten and before you knew it Dietz was rolling in the 3rd spot and looking for more, but simply ran out of laps. The team was thrilled on their finish and the team headed out to the track for photos and a interview.
The team will spend all day tomorrow on the car and then head to the Speedweek Race #5 at Linda's Speedway in Jonestown, PA on Friday, July 3, 2009. Gates open at 5:30 PM and racing starts at 7:30 PM. See you at the track.

SPEEDWEEK STOP #2
Tim and Dietz Racing Crew stopped by the famous Lincoln Speedway for Race #2 of the 2009 PA 600 Speedweek Series. Tim lined up in the 2nd spot in heat race #9 and quickly jumped out into the lead. Exiting turn four on the very last lap, the 18d was clipped from behind and was tossed back to 2nd place at the checkers. Back in the pits, the Dietz Racing crew quickly made the repairs and got the 18d ready to go for the next round of heats. In heat #19 Tim started in the 8th spot and ran the top shelf to a strong 3rd place finish. Between the two heats, Tim collected enough points to transfer into the A-main where he'd start in the 14th position. At the drop of the green, Tim ran the high line lap after lap. After moving up a few spots and then falling back, finally the car started to come in and the Dietz pick-off moves began. One caution restart later Tim slowed down in turns 3 and 4 and he brought his Probe racing chassis into the pits where the team found out that the clutch was toasted. Tim was credited with 22nd place.
The team will skip the Speedweek Race #3 at the Path Valley Speedway, but will return to the 2009 PA 600 Speedweek Series for Race #4 at Susquehanna Speedway Park on Thursday, July 2, 2009. Gates open at 5 PM and racing starts at 7 PM. See you at the track.

SPEEDWEEK STOP #1
Tim and Dietz Racing Crew rolled into TW again this week to kick-off the 2009 PA 600 Speedweek Series. The team had high hopes of doing well since Trail-way Speedway was their home track, but the night didn't exactly go as planned. Tim lined up in the 7th spot in heat race #4 and finished 5th. In the second round of heats, Tim started 4th in heat race #11 and finished 3rd. The team then had to run in the B-main since their point total wasn't high enough to make the A-main transfer. In the B-main Tim started in the 10th spot and finished in 6th which was the last transfer spot. In the A-main the 18d started in the dead last 26th starting spot and drive the high line to a 16th place finish at the cross flags. The Dietz Racing Team will now move onto Lincoln Speedway for Race #2 of the 6 race series.
